Everyday, whether in preference or in rebellion , we are destined to migrate. From villages to cities, from war stricken lands to joyful greener grass, from our before to our after we must move.
Colors of the winds is a story of discovery and 'greener grasses'.
Within the frame stands 'Acal' (translated into English as "I resemble you") a young girl from the Langi or Lango tribe of the Nilotic Ethnic Group. Her hair, dyed to match the great lands symbolically represents movement & migration.
Her red torn shirt denotes her "wear or age"
The brown grasses behind her are a statement of irony; many of us migrate with the hope to find better lands or "greener grass" but instead the corruptions and secrets of wherever we go dims or browns this hope. The farmhouse represents labour, and the grey sky represents coming of rains.
