From the Dinka tribe of South-Sudan, Nyandeng ("Nyan" to mean "Daughter or Girl" and "Deng" to mean "Rain") denotes a story of Escape, Longing and Love.
Her blue skin represents Succulence and Receptiveness from the rains of the sky. It being neither black nor white (or any other skin types), Nyandeng is a product of heaven's outpour. Her hair, as fauna from the earth, emphasizes a sense of Nature and Originality.
The red top / shirt represents Blood and Brotherhood; Blood from war left in her homeland Brotherhood denoting those she still holds close to her heart though she dwells in this Foreign Land (Uganda).
Consequently, the land and sky behind her bearing a Burning tree/shrub represents a Place of mystery (foreign land) as well as the tree which represents unquenched Passion & Zeal for Great Sudan. Notwithstanding, the banausic sky gathering clouds endeavours to send it's daughter, Nyandeng, rain to calm the burning fire within her soul.
